Envelopes of holomorphy and extension of functions of bounded type

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics, 2012
We study the extension of holomorphic functions of bounded type defined on an open subset of a Banach space, to larger domains. For this, we first characterize the envelope of holomorphy of a Riemann domain over a Banach space, with respect to the algebra of bounded type holomorphic functions, in terms of the spectrum of the algebra.

Schlicht Envelopes of Holomorphy and Foliations by Lines [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geometric Analysis, 2009
Version 2: Terminology revised and title changed in view of information about the origins of what we now call "the schlichtness lemma" that we didn't have when we finished version 1. Version 3: A few minor changes.

Analytic Structure of Amplitudes in Gauge Theories with Confinement [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
For gauge theories with confinement, the analytic structure of amplitudes is explored. It is shown that the analytic properties of physical amplitudes are the same as those obtained on the basis of an effective theory involving only the composite ...

Group actions and envelopes of holomorphy

open access: yesMathematische Annalen, 1994
Suppose \(K\) is a compact Lie group and \(X\) is a Stein manifold on which \(K\) and its complexification \(K^{\mathbb{C}_ C}\) acts as groups of biholomorphic transformations. Assume \(\Omega\) is a \(K\)-invariant domain in \(X\). The present paper is concerned with the problem of determining the envelope of holomorphy \(E(\Omega)\) of \(\Omega ...

Envelopes of holomorphy and polynomial hulls

open access: yesMathematische Annalen, 1988
This paper continues the study of polynomial hulls by the authors. Let Y be a compact subset of \({\mathbb{C}}^ 2\) contained in \(\partial \Delta \times \Delta\), where \(\Delta\) is the open unit disk in the plane such that for \(\lambda\in \partial \Delta\) the complement of \(Y_{\lambda}:=\{w:\) (\(\lambda\),w)\(\in Y\}\) is connected.

Plurisubharmonicity of envelopes of disc functionals on manifolds

open access: yes, 2002
We show that a disc functional on a complex manifold has a plurisubharmonic envelope if all its pullbacks by holomorphic submersions from domains of holomorphy in affine space do and it is locally bounded above and upper semicontinuous in a certain weak ...

The envelope of holomorphy of a truncated tube [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1991
A counterexample is constructed to show an essential difference between local and global CR extensions in tube domains.

Levi problem and semistable quotients

open access: yes, 2012
A complex space $X$ is in class ${\mathcal Q}_G$ if it is a semistable quotient of the complement to an analytic subset of a Stein manifold by a holomorphic action of a reductive complex Lie group $G$.
