Some aspects of catabolite repression of mitochondrial enzymes inSaccharomyces cerevisiae

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, 1971
The synthesis of mitochondrial enzymes inSaccharomyces cerevisiae is partly derepressed during growth with maltose as compared with glucose. The present investigations were aimed at finding any more differences between maltose- and glucose-grown cultures that might indicate the nature of the effector(s) of catabolite repression.

Enzyme Repression, Mediated by Phytochrome through a Threshold Mechanism

1972
In Fig. 75 in the 6th lecture we advanced the concept that Pfr in one and the same tissue (and possibly cell) will rapidly induce enzyme synthesis as well as repress enzyme synthesis. We also had to postulate further enzymes whose synthesis or decay are not affected by Pfr.
