This paper addresses the vowel epenthesis attested by Korean- speakers of English. I demonstrate that a set of Optimality Theoretic constraints are responsible for the phenomenon.

This paper provides an optimality theoretic analysis of epenthesis patterns in Karam and Southeastern Pomo. I show that the constituent internal epenthesis pattern in both languages, by which vowels are epenthesized following the initial consonant and preceding the final consonant, is closely tied with the distribution of marked syllable types, i.e. (V)

학위논문(석사)--서울대학교 대학원 :인문대학 언어학과,2020. 2. 전종호.러시아어에서는 자음 3개로 이루어진 어두 자음군(#CCC)이 허용된다. 그러나 단자음 전치사가 자음군으로 시작하는 명사에 선행하면서 #CCC가 형성될 때에는 모음 삽입을 통해 #CCC의 발생이 저지되는 경우가 많다. 이때 모음 삽입은 음운론적 환경에 따라 변이를 보인다. 해당 변이의 음운론적 환경을 분석하는 것이 본 연구의 목표이다.
