Epidemic spreading analysis through distributed simulation
Given the human and economical impacts of recent disease outbreaks, understanding epidemics has become a societal problem of prime importance. The increased mobility caused by the improvement of transportation has led some researchers to believe that a worldwide pandemic would occur before the end of the century.

This review systematically examines China's Land‐based Container + Ecological Pond (LCEP) recirculating aquaculture model. It synthesizes the system's development, technical principles, and research progress, highlighting its significant resource savings (>75% land, >90% water) and high‐density production capabilities. The analysis critically evaluates

ABSTRACT This study develops a comprehensive framework for assessing time and state‐dependent aftershock damage accumulation under an M9.0 megathrust interface earthquake in the Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ). The framework integrates aftershock probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (APSHA) and state‐dependent fragility analysis (SDFA) within a ...

Climate‐Driven Advanced Machine Learning Approach for Dengue Incidence Forecasting in Bangladesh
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Dengue fever has become a significant and an increasing public health menace in Bangladesh. Despite the abundance of research on the dengue outbreaks, the majority of the studies are limited by the short‐term time frame of research, a narrow scope, or to one modeling methodology.

Abstract Human noroviruses are a leading cause of acute gastroenteritis worldwide, yet the molecular principles governing antibody recognition of their highly repetitive capsid remain poorly understood. Here, we immunized mice with virus‐like particles (VLPs) from the pandemic GII.4 strain and the emergent GII.17 strain, generating monoclonal IgM and ...

What are the vector species of the Oropouche virus?
Here, we review the timeline of Oropouche virus (OROV) detection in various hematophagous Diptera, from 1955 to date, including mosquitoes and midges. All vector competence experiments also are described. The results suggest that Culicoides are the primary vectors.

Evaluation of a Novel Climate‐Driven SIR Model for Cholera Prediction
Abstract The causative agent of cholera, Vibrio cholerae, is a bacterium native to the aquatic environment and commensal to zooplankton, namely copepods. V. cholerae thrives in warm, moderately saline water and its incidence is strongly influenced by environmental factors, which have proven critical for predictive awareness of cholera by identifying ...
