New periodontal attachment procedure based on retardation of epithelial migration

Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 1974
Abstract A new attachment procedure based on retardation of epithelial downgrowth was used for the surgical treatment of 88 intrabony periodontal defects. Split flaps were made at the vestibular and oral aspect of the intrabony defect leaving a layer of connective tissue on the bone and corresponding to the missing bony walls.

The attachment mechanism of epithelial cells to titanium in vitro

Journal of Periodontal Research, 1981
It has previously been difficult to examine the nature of the attachment between tissues and metal implants. To resolve this problem, a technique has been developed in which oral epithelial cells are grown on very thin films of titanium on epoxy resin.

Isolation, characterization, and attachment of rabbit distal colon epithelial cells

Gastroenterology, 1991
The authors investigated various enzymatic digestion procedures for isolating epithelial cells from the distal colon of New Zealand White male rabbits. Rabbit mucosa was washed, diced, and digested for 90 minutes in one of five different solutions, including a new combination consisting of 0.03% collagenase IV and 0.1% pronase (solution V). Solution I (

Differential Attachment of Oral Treponemes to Monolayers of Epithelial Cells

Journal of Periodontology, 1997
This in vitro study describes the attachment properties of several oral treponemes to monolayers of epithelial cells and the effect of epithelial cell confluence on treponeme attachment. Four serotypes of Treponema denticola, Treponema scoliodontum, three subspecies of Treponema socranskii and Treponema vincentii were tested with monolayers of ...

[Gingivo-epithelial attachment in dental alloimplants].

Chirurgia maxillofacialis & plastica, 1991
In this article the structure of gingivo-epithelial tissue and survey of research about its attachment to the tooth neck are presented. Some further research themes in this important and delicate field of stomatologic implantology are also discussed.

[Alkylphosphocholines inhibit lens epithelial cell proliferation and attachment].

Der Ophthalmologe : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 2011
Posterior capsule opacification (PCO) is one of the major concerns in modern cataract surgery. Ten years after successful surgery, Nd:YAG capsulotomy is required in up to 42% of patients with an acrylic sharp-edged intraocular lens (IOL). Some accommodative and multifocal IOLs display even higher capsulotomy rates.
