V2:Performance of the solid deuterium ultra-cold neutron source at the pulsed reactor TRIGA Mainz
The performance of the solid deuterium ultra-cold neutron source at the pulsed reactor TRIGA Mainz with a maximum peak energy of 10 MJ is described. The solid deuterium converter with a volume of V=160 cm3 (8 mol), which is exposed to a thermal neutron ...

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy at a Crossroads: Translational Gap and Emerging Delivery Agents
This review surveys recent advances in boron delivery agents for BNCT, emphasizing the shift from classical small molecules to multifunctional nanocarriers and theranostic systems. By integrating targeting, imaging, and therapy, next‐generation boron compounds aim to bridge the gap between (bio)chemical innovation and clinical translation.

Early Holocene jökulhlaup chronology and deglaciation dynamics in central Iceland
Glacial lake outburst floods (jökulhlaups) have occurred throughout the Quaternary in glaciated regions worldwide. Reconstructing flood chronology yields insight into deglaciation processes, environmental change and the role of extreme events in landscape evolution.

Gljúfurárjökull, located on the Tröllaskagi Peninsula in northern Iceland, is a small glacier approximately 3.8 km in length. This study analyses the glacier's evolution through a combination of methods including: (i) geomorphological mapping, (ii) Cosmic‐Ray Exposure (CRE) dating, (iii) lichenometry and (iv) palaeoglacier reconstruction (volume ...

Abstract Production rates for the cosmogenic radionuclides 10Be, 14C, 26Al, 36Cl, 41Ca, 53Mn, and 60Fe in a large variety of meteorites, that is, ordinary chondrites (H, L, LL), carbonaceous chondrites, HED meteorites, ureilites, Martian meteorites, and iron meteorites and in the uppermost ~2 m of the lunar surface are modeled.

The pre-atmospheric size of Martian meteorites [PDF]
The pre-atmospheric size of martian meteorites was calculated based on 80Kr produced by epithermal secondary cosmic-ray produced neutrons of 30-300 eV energy.

Parity Nonconservation in 106Pd and 108Pd Neutron Resonances
Parity nonconservation (PNC) has been studied in the neutron p-wave resonances of 106Pd and 108Pd in the energy range of 20 to 2000 eV. Longitudinal asymmetries in p-wave capture cross sections are measured using longitudinally polarized neutrons ...

Influence of Mars Topography on Neutral Surface Radiation: Modeling and MSL/RAD Observations
Abstract Since landing in 2012, the Radiation Assessment Detector (RAD) onboard the Mars science laboratory (MSL) Curiosity rover has encountered different local landscapes, which have induced variations in the local surface environment. The aim of this study is to include realistic and site‐specific local topography for any position in a radiation ...
