ABSTRACT Improving photosynthesis is proposed as a means of enhancing crop productivity. To assess whether simultaneous increases in light use‐efficiency and carbon assimilation are additive, we investigated the impact of elevated CO2 on the performance of a transgenic soybean line engineered for faster relaxation of photoprotection by overexpression ...

Non-Steady State Validation of Kinetic Models for Ethylene Epoxidation over Silver Catalysts
Kinetic modelling has been key to developing a mechanistic understanding of the epoxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide over silver catalysts. However, models of varying active site and mechanistic complexity have all been able to recreate steady state

Antioxidants Differentially Regulate Non‐Photochemical Quenching
ABSTRACT Non‐photochemical quenching (NPQ) dissipates excess light energy as heat, limiting reactive oxygen species production during photosynthesis. Exogenous antioxidants are widely reported to improve plant performance under stress, yet their impacts on NPQ are inconsistent across studies, complicating mechanistic interpretation.

Stereochemistry of Epoxidation of Some Caryophyllenols
Epoxidation of the caryophyllene allylic alcohols 3−5 by tert-butyl hydroperoxide/vanadyl acetylacetonate afforded the epoxides 6a, 7, and 8, respectively. The tetracyanoethylene-catalyzed solvolysis shed some light on the stereochemistry of epoxidation.

Abstract figure legend Suboptimal maternal nutrition alters placental and developing blood–brain barrier (BBB) protective function and is associated with increased fetal brain vulnerability. In the placenta, nutritional adversity may reduce the exchange surface area and promote meta‐inflammation, compromising barrier efficiency in a model‐ and context ...

Spatial and temporal scales in plant phenotyping for crop water stress assessment: A review
Abstract Water stress is a major limiting factor for crop productivity worldwide, and its impacts are intensifying due to climate variability and increasing water scarcity. This review focuses on the spatial and temporal scales in plant phenotyping as a critical approach to improving crop water‐stress assessment and supporting precision water ...
