Trichloroisocyanuric Acid: An Alternate Green Route for the Transformation of Alkenes into Epoxides
The preparation of epoxides is efficiently achieved in mild conditions by reaction of alkenes with trichloroisocyanuric acid in aqueous acetone followed by treatment of the resulting chlorohydrin with aqueous KOH in ether / pentane.

1,3-Diphenylethenylcarbazolyl-Based Monomer for Cross-Linked Hole Transporting Layers
A new cross-linkable monomer containing 1,3-diphenylethenylcarbazolyl-based hole-transporting moieties and four reactive epoxy groups, was prepared by a multistep synthesis route from 1,3-bis(2,2-diphenylethenyl)-9H-carbazol-2-ol and its application for ...

Computationally Designed Zirconium Organometallic Catalyst for Direct Epoxidation of Alkenes without Allylic H Atoms: Aromatic Linkage Eliminates Formation of Inert Octahedral Complexes [PDF]
We used density functional theory to computationally design a Zr organometallic catalyst for selectively oxidizing substrates using molecular oxygen as oxidant without coreductant. Each selective oxidation cycle involves four general steps: (a) a peroxo or weakly adsorbed O2 group releases an O atom to substrate to form substrate oxide and an oxo group,

Utilization of oxygen difluoride for syntheses of fluoropolymers [PDF]
The reaction oxygen difluoride, OF2, with ethylenically unsaturated fluorocarbon compounds is examined. Depending upon the fluorocarbon material and reaction conditions, OF2 can chain extend fluoropolyenes, convert functional perfluorovinyl groups to ...

Acute Hypercapnia/Ischemia Alters the Esterification of Arachidonic Acid and Docosahexaenoic Acid Epoxide Metabolites in Rat Brain Neutral Lipids. [PDF]
In the brain, approximately 90% of oxylipins are esterified to lipids. However, the significance of this esterification process is not known. In the present study, we (1) validated an aminopropyl solid phase extraction (SPE) method for separating ...

Synthesis of an Epoxide for TMM Cycloadditions [PDF]
In order to produce a highly functionalized five-membered ring useful for further synthetic processes via Palladium catalysis, a series of precursors need to be synthesized in order to form the epoxide used in cyclic formation.

A Concise Total Synthesis of (--)-Maoecrystal Z [PDF]
The first total synthesis of (--)-maoecrystal Z is described. The key steps of the synthesis include a diastereoselective Ti^(III)-mediated reductive epoxide coupling reaction and a diastereoselective Sm^(II)-mediated reductive cascade cyclization ...

This review explores the progressive design of biopolymer‐based fibrous membranes enhanced with layered carbon materials such as MXene, graphene oxide, and carbon nanotubes. It highlights how their integration significantly boosts water filtration performance, selectivity, and antifouling properties.

This study explores the potential of locally harvested Phallusia mammillata, a tunicate usually discarded as waste from mussles farming as a viable source for producing various high‐grade cellulose derivatives in the form of nanofibrils (NFC) and nanocrystals (CNC). Abstract Ascidians are ubiquitous filter‐feeding marine invertebrates, the only animals
