Interactive Simulation of CW and Pulsed EPR Spectra

open access: yes, 2007
A general program for the computer simulation of cw electron paramagnetic resonance spectra has previously been developed [1]. This simulation package is currently being extended to include the simulation of pulsed EPR spectra.

Substrate‐Affinitive P‐Type Azapolycyclic Photosensitizer for Chemoselective Nitrilization Under Mild Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a series of quinoxalinoquinoxaline (QQ) photosensitizers featuring high and tunable excited‐state reduction potentials (E(PC•+/PC*) = –1.76 to –2.05 V vs. SCE). Their hydrogen‐bonding interaction with carbonyl substrates enables selective single‐electron transfer events for selective nitrilization of 1° amides, offering a tunable ...

Unexpected one-pot formation of the 1H-6a,8a-epiminotricyclopenta[a,c,e][8]annulene system from cyclopentanone, ammonia and dimethyl fumarate. Synthesis of highly strained polycyclic nitroxide and EPR study

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
The unexpected formation of a highly strained polycyclic amine was observed in a one-pot synthesis from cyclopentanone, dimethyl fumarate and ammonium acetate.

Axial Solvent Coordination in “Base-Off” Cob(II)alamin and Related Co(II)-Corrinates Revealed by 2D-EPR

open access: yes, 2016
Detailed information on the structure of cobalt(II) corrinates is of interest in the context of studies on the coenzyme B12 catalyzed enzymatic reactions, where cob(II)alamin has been identified as a reaction intermediate.

Dual‐Mode Type I/II Photosensitization of a Stable Mesoporous Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework for Antibacterial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A π‐conjugated donor–acceptor PDI monomer undergoes hydrogen‐bonded self‐assembly to form a robust mesoporous framework. The ordered molecular arrangement promotes efficient intersystem crossing and charge separation, leading to simultaneous Type I and Type II reactive oxygen species generation with a high singlet oxygen quantum yield.

Titania-promoted carboxylic acid alkylations of alkenes and cascade addition-cyclizations

open access: yes, 2014
Photochemical reactions employing TiO and carboxylic acids under dry anaerobic conditions led to several types of C-C bond-forming processes with electron-deficient alkenes.

Modulating the Charge Transfer Channels via Constructing Charge‐Assisted Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Frameworks for Enhanced Photosynthesis of Hydrogen Peroxide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reports a strategy of engineering charge‐assisted hydrogen bonds to tailor charge transfer channels in HOFs, significantly improving their performance in photocatalytic H2O2 production. ABSTRACT The production of H2O2 via artificial photosynthesis is often limited by inefficient charge‐carrier separation, causing significant charge ...

Design of an Automated Instrument for Washing EPR Sample Tubes

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance
Many quartz tubes are used in electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) experiments. These tubes are long and thin, and difficult to clean. To address the problem, an automated washing instrument for EPR sample tubes is designed.
