Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

ON SMOOTH TESTS FOR THE EQUALITY OF DISTRIBUTIONS

Econometric Theory, 2021
This note re-investigates the smooth tests for the equality of distributions introduced by Bera et al. (2013, Econometric Theory 29, 419–446) and provides a modified smooth test which works for the general case with two sample sizes m and n. Asymptotic properties of the proposed test statistic under both the null and the alternative hypothesis are ...

Testing for equality of means with equal and unequal variances

Scientia Africana, 2021
In this paper, we are interested in comparing the conventional t –test with the proposed t – test for testing equality of means with unequal and equal variances. Here, we proposed harmonic mean of variances as an alternative to the pooled sample variance when there is heterogeneity of variances.

Efficient and secure equality tests

2016 IEEE International Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS), 2016
Secure equality testing of two private values is one of the fundamental building blocks of many cryptographic protocols designed for Signal Processing in the Encrypted Domain (SPED). Existing protocols introduce significant amount of computation and computational overhead, which makes it essential to search for new and novel, efficient equality tests ...

Testing Equality of Means after a Preliminary test of Equality of Variances

Biometrika, 1962
Abstract : IN TESTING EQUALITY OF MEANS OF TWO Normal populations, Student's t-test is not generally applicable when the variances of the two populations may be unequal and their ratio unknown. A procedure is considered whereby a preliminary test is performed to ascertain whether or not the variances may be regarded as equal.

Test strategies for adaptive equalizers

2009 IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, 2009
This paper provides an overview of the test strategies for both continuous-time and digitally-assisted adaptive equalizers. Conventionally, an equalizer is characterized by the explicit measurement of the eye diagram at its output, which requires a lengthy testing time and is too costly for production testing.
