Testing equality of several correlation matrices
Summary: In this article we show that the Kullback's statistic for testing equality of several correlation matrices may be considered a modified likelihood ratio statistic when sampling from multivariate normal populations. We derive the asymptotic null distribution of \(L^\ast\) in series involving independent chisquare variables by expanding \(L^\ast\

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Fixed, Random, or Something in Between? – A Variant of HAUSMAN’s Specifi cation Test for Panel Data Estimators [PDF]
This paper proposes a variant of the classical HAUSMAN specifi cation test commonly employed to decide whether the estimation of a random-eff ects model is a viable alternative to estimating fi xed eff ects. Whereas the classical test probes the equality

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A SIMPLE BUT EFFICIENT SCHEME FOR COLOUR IMAGE RETRIEVAL BASED ON STATISTICAL TESTS OF HYPOTHESIS [PDF]
This paper proposes a simple but efficient scheme for colour image retrieval, based on statistical tests of hypothesis, namely test for equality of variance, test for equality of mean. The test for equality of variance is performed to test the similarity

Association of lichen planus with dyslipidemia: A comparative, cross-sectional study
Context: Lichen planus (LP) is an idiopathic T-cell-mediated inflammatory disorder. Chronic inflammation may result in derangement of lipid metabolism. Some studies have shown that prevalence of dyslipidemia is more among patients with LP, whereas other ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
