Comparative Judgement for Linking Two Existing Scales
This article describes an efficient way of using comparative judgement to calibrate scores from different educational assessments against one another (a task often referred to as test linking or equating).

Bethe equations `on the wrong side of the equator' [PDF]
We analyse the famous Baxter's $T-Q$ equations for $XXX$ ($XXZ$) spin chain and show that apart from its usual polynomial (trigonometric) solution, which provides the solution of Bethe-Ansatz equations, there exists also the second solution which should corresponds to Bethe-Ansatz beyond $N/2$.

Comparison of Kernel equating methods under NEAT and NEC designs
In this study, Kernel test equating methods were compared under NEAT and NEC designs. In NEAT design, Kernel post-stratification and chain equating methods taking into account optimal and large bandwidths were compared.

The SQG Equation as a Geodesic Equation [PDF]
We demonstrate that the surface quasi-geostrophic (SQG) equation given by $$θ_t + \left= 0,\;\;\; θ= \nabla \times (-Δ)^{-1/2} u,$$ is the geodesic equation on the group of volume-preserving diffeomorphisms of a Riemannian manifold $M$ in the right-invariant $\dot{H}^{-1/2}$ metric.

ON A FUNCTIONAL EQUATION [PDF]
We have recently discussed in (1) the general solution of a certain functional equation arising in statistical thermodynamics, and we propose in this note to deal with another functional equation arising from the same source(2). The problem is to obtain the most general function f(x) which, for all positive integral values of m, n ...

Automated Essay Scoring Effect on Test Equating Errors in Mixed-format Test
Scoring constructed-response items can be highly difficult, time-consuming, and costly in practice. Improvements in computer technology have enabled automated scoring of constructed-response items. However, the application of automated scoring without an

We wonder if there is a way to make all Schur functions in all representations equal. This is impossible for fixed value of time variables, but can be achieved for averages.
