A novel global chemical reaction mechanism for large-scale hydrogen detonation simulation

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
Conventional modeling strategies for large-scale detonation simulations suffer from a critical trade-off: detailed chemical mechanisms involve excessive computational costs, while typical single-step schemes lack sufficient predictive accuracy.

Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.

Static Balancing of Robot Mechanisms and Manipulation Devices

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering, 2018
The paper deals with static balancing of various kinds of mechanisms and manipulation devices using spring balancing mechanisms. In case of parallelogram robots and manipulation mechanisms a spring balancing mechanism exerting a constant force is used ...

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Kinematics Solving Method of a Tensegrity Parallel Mechanism Under Actuated

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2019
Tensegrity mechanisms are new type mechanism consist of a set of compressive components (rigid rods) and continuous tensile components (ties). The benefits of tensegrity mechanisms in comparison with conventional ones include low mass, small inertia ...

Market Equilibrium Based on Cloud-edge Collaboration

open access: yesCSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems
Market participants can only bid with lagged information disclosure under the existing market mechanism, which can lead to information asymmetry and irrational market behavior, thus influencing market efficiency.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Dynamic fractional-order ISDR rumor propagation model incorporating refutation mechanism in complex networks

open access: yesScientific Reports
Rumor spreading has been posing a significant threat to maintain the normal social order. In this paper, we propose a ISDR rumor propagation model on scale-free networks that considers fractional-order and refutation mechanism.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.
