Equilibrium moisture content of hops

Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research, 1973
Abstract Agricultural crops (and many other materials) change moisture content with a change in the relative humidity of the ambient air when in the drying, dried or hydrating phase. For any fixed relative humidity of the air, the moisture content will approach and eventually reach a static level that is called the equilibrium moisture content for ...

Equilibrium Moisture Content of Pumpkin Seed

Transactions of the ASAE, 1988
ABSTRACT THE static equilibrium moisture content of pumpkin seeds, as well as of kernels and hulls was measured at temperatures ranging from 10 to 60°C and relative humidities ranging from 5 to 85%. The applicability of the desorption and adsorption data to four equilibrium moisture models was tested.

Equilibrium Moisture Content of Dehydrated Vegetables

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry, 1943
The equilibrium moisture content of some dehydrated vegetables was determined by allowing them to attain equilibrium in airfree desiccators containing sulfuric acid solutions to control the relative humidity. Fresh vegetables were used for desorption measurements and dried vegetables for adsorption.

Equilibrium moisture content of groundnut and chillies

Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 1974
AbstractHygroscopic material, when it comes into contact with atmospheric air, desorps or absorps the moisture from the surroundings until it reaches equilibrium. In the present study, groundnut and chillies were dried in a controlled air supply (at a particular temperature and relative humidity).

EQUILIBRIUM MOISTURE CONTENT OF FLAX SEEDS

Cork hygroscopic equilibrium moisture content

Holz als Roh- und Werkstoff, 1998
This work is related to the establishment of the curves of cork moisture content in hygroscopic equilibrium (HEM curves), which allow to predict the moisture content of cork planks, one of the most important parameters in cork trading and processing.

Equilibrium Moisture Content Models for Lafun

International Journal of Food Engineering, 2008
Insights into the relationship between the air relative humidity (water activity (aw)) and equilibrium moisture content of food materials is essential to maintain good keeping quality and optimize process operation. The adsorption isotherms for cassava flour (lafun) were investigated with the static gravimetric method.

Equilibrium moisture content of biomass briquettes

Biomass and Bioenergy, 2004
Abstract Equilibrium moisture content (EMC) of commercially available biomass briquettes at 40–85% relative humidity was compared with the EMC of cotton stalks and saw mill waste. No significance difference in EMC was noticed at relative humidity value up to 70%.

Adsorption equilibrium moisture content of wheat straw

Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research, 1981
Abstract Adsorption equilibrium moisture contents of wheat straw were determined at 4 temperatures: 5, 15, 25 and 35°C and at 4 relative humidities; about 35, 55, 70 and 90%. A non-linear least squares regression program was used to fit 6 mathematical models developed by other researchers to the experimental data.
