RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

This study numerically explores the dynamics of the photogravitational circular restricted three-body problem, where an infinitesimal particle moves under the gravitational influence of two primary bodies connected by a massless rod. These primary masses

Basins of convergence of equilibrium points in the generalized Hill problem
The Newton-Raphson basins of attraction, associated with the libration points (attractors), are revealed in the generalized Hill problem. The parametric variation of the position and the linear stability of the equilibrium points is determined, when the ...

Checkpoint blockade and the stem‐like T cell trade‐off
Stem‐like T cells are key to the success of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1) blockade, as they sustain long‐term anti‐tumor response by continuously generating effector CD8+ T cells. However, how these cells are maintained in cancer is not fully understood. Hor et al.

Multiple Attractors for a Competitive System of Rational Difference Equations in the Plane
We investigate global dynamics of the following systems of difference equations xn+1=β1xn/(B1xn+yn), yn+1=(α2+γ2yn)/(A2+xn), n=0,1,2,…, where the parameters β1, B1,

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

A Mathematical Model of Black Rhino Translocation Strategy
A deterministic mathematical model of the black rhino population in South Africa will be discussed. The model is constructed by dividing the black rhino population into multiple patches.

Analyzing Stability of Equilibrium Points in Neural Networks: A General Approach
Networks of coupled neural systems represent an important class of models in computational neuroscience. In some applications it is required that equilibrium points in these networks remain stable under parameter variations.

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...
