Validation & Verification of an EDA automated synthesis tool [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Reliability and correctness are two mandatory features for automated synthesis tools. To reach the goals several campaigns of Validation and Verification (V&V) are needed.

Empirical test of the Ricardian Equivalence in the Kingdom of Lesotho

open access: yesCogent Economics & Finance, 2017
The objective of this paper is to test the existence of Ricardian Equivalence in Lesotho using annual data for two sample periods, 1980–2014 and 1988–2014. This proposition is important and has crucial implications for tax policy.

Translation Equivalence in English-Indonesia Text

open access: yesVivid: Journal of Language and Literature, 2019
The needs of translation have been increasing in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 as more literature needs to be translated into Bahasa Indonesia. To make use of this opportunity correctly, it is a need to check the equivalence of translation.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

An experimental analysis of two departures from Ricardian equivalence [PDF]

open access: yes
We construct an overlapping-generations experiment to test for two alleged departures from Ricardian equivalence. In the first treatment the setting is close to the theoretical model, while in the second we allow for liquidity-constrained consumers.

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Conditional associative learning examined in a paralyzed patient with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis using brain-computer interface technology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Background Brain-computer interface methodology based on self-regulation of slow-cortical potentials (SCPs) of the EEG (electroencephalogram) was used to assess conditional associative learning in one severely paralyzed, late-stage ALS patient.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.
