Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

On the classification of perfect codes : side class structures
The side class structure of a perfect 1-error correcting binary code (hereafter referred to as a perfect code) C describes the linear relations between the coset representatives of the kernel of C.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Abelian Multi-Cycle Codes for Single-Shot Error Correction
We construct a family of quantum low-density parity-check codes locally equivalent to higher-dimensional quantum hypergraph-product (QHP) codes. Similarly to QHP codes, the proposed codes have highly redundant sets of low-weight stabilizer generators ...

Equivalent latitude computation using regions of interest (ROI). [PDF]
This paper introduces a novel algorithm to compute equivalent latitude by applying regions of interest (ROI). The technique is illustrated using code written in Interactive Data Language (IDL).

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Design of Glass for High, Short Duration Wind Loads
This paper describes a case study for the design of structural glazed IGUs for the New Concert Hall in Reykjavik, Iceland, which is subjected to high local wind loads of approximately 10kN/m2, with a load duration of approximately 0.1s. The paper focuses

Rank equivalent and rank degenerate skew cyclic codes
Two skew cyclic codes can be equivalent for the Hamming metric only if they have the same length, and only the zero code is degenerate. The situation is completely different for the rank metric.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Rapid development of long-span urban transportation hubs arouses higher requirements of structural design methods. However, the current design codes do not give effective provisions of the equivalent uniform live load for long-span transportation hubs. A
