Form rings and projective equivalence
Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1986If I and J are ideals in a Noetherian ring R, then I and J are projectively equivalent in case (Ii)a = (Jj)a for some positive integers i, j (where Ka denotes the integral closure in R of the ideal K) and the form ring F(R, I) of R with respect to I is the graded ring R/I ⊕ I/I2 ⊕ I2/I3 ⊕ ….

Operator equivalents in closed form
Physics Letters A, 1974Abstract We derive for the first time a closed algebraic formula for Steven's operator equivalents Tlm(J); the derivation relies on expressing the operator |JM〉〈JM'| in terms of J± and JZ.

On equivalent forms of Whittaker's similarity index
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1977Abstract For two N-species assemblages A, B with specific proportionate abundances of the ith species ai, bl respectively, we consider the equality ∑ t=1 N c i = 1− 1 2 ∑ t=1 N |a i −b i |, c i = a i a i ⩽ b i b i a i > b i , 0⩽a,b,c⩽1 .

Equivalent forms of the boston naming test
Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology, 1986In order to develop a test of naming ability that is sensitive to changes in performance on repeated testing, but is unbiased by practice effects, the 85 items of the Boston Naming Test (BNT) were divided into two 42-item forms. Both forms were given to 15 healthy adult subjects, 24 patients with a clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, and 17 ...

Equivalent forms of Levi condition
ANNALI DELL UNIVERSITA DI FERRARA, 1999Summary: We consider hyperbolic differential operators with characteristic roots of constant multiplicity and we prove the equivalence of some conditions, called Levi conditions, for the correctness of the Cauchy problem in \(C^\infty\) and in Gevrey classes.

On the equivalence to feedforward forms
2003 European Control Conference (ECC), 2003The problem of (local) coordinates and feedback equivalence of single-input affine nonlinear systems to feedforward forms is studied and solved. The general theory is applied to linear systems, and is illustrated through a simple four dimensional example describing the dynamics of a food-chain.

The Equivalence of Quadratic Forms
1973One of the major accomplishments in the theory of quadratic forms is the classification of the equivalence class of a quadratic form over arithmetic fields. We are ready to present this part of the theory. Roughly speaking it goes as follows: the global solution is completely described by local and archimedean solutions, the local solution involves the

LOCAL AND GLOBAL EQUIVALENCE OF BINARY FORMS II: ODD DEGREE FORMS
The Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, 1987[Part I, cf. ibid. 37, 483-493 (1986; Zbl 0608.10025).] In this second part on local and global equivalence of binary forms the author studies forms of odd degree n. He shows that over the rational numbers locally equivalent forms are globally equivalent except in the following case: The degree n equals \(3\cdot q^ b\) with q a prime\(\equiv 1\) mod 3 ...
