Erasure-Coding-Based Storage and Recovery for Distributed Exascale Storage Systems
Various techniques have been used in distributed file systems for data availability and stability. Typically, a method for storing data in a replication technique-based distributed file system is used, but due to the problem of space efficiency, an ...

Erasure Coding for Distributed Matrix Multiplication for Matrices With Bounded Entries [PDF]
Distributed matrix multiplication is widely used in several scientific domains. It is well recognized that computation times on distributed clusters are often dominated by the slowest workers (called stragglers).

Robust streaming in delay tolerant networks [PDF]
Delay Tolerant Networks (DTN) do not provide any end to end connectivity guarantee. Thus, transporting data over such networks is a tough challenge as most of Internet applications assume a form of persistent end to end connection.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

FFT-based network coding for peer-to-peer content delivery [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a structured peer-to-peer (P2P) distribution scheme based on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) graphs. We build a peer-to-peer network that reproduces the FFT graph initially designed for hardware FFT codecs.

A reconfigurable RRAM platform utilizing thermally pre‐formed filaments (TPFs) is developed to realize robust hardware security. By exploiting the thermodynamic stochasticity of TPFs, exceptionally reliable physically unclonable functions (PUFs) are achieved.

xStripeMerge: efficient wide stripe generation approach based on erasure coding storage
To address the issue of wide stripe generation in existing erasure coding storage systems, where storage scaling approaches resulted in a significant increase in wide stripe generation bandwidth and stripe merge scheme was constrained by dual-stripes, an

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...
