Efficient Charge Transport in Zero‐Dimensional Perovskite for Ultrahigh‐Sensitivity X‐Ray Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel mono‐octahedral 0D Bi‐based Dpy3Bi2I12 perovskite strengthens the internal hydrogen bonds and forms a quasi‐2D lattice, exhibits exceptional charge transport and mobility, achieving high X‐ray sensitivity and ultralow‐dose imaging, and setting a new benchmark for 0D detector performance.

MDS codes on the erasure-erasure wiretap channel

open access: yes, 2009
This paper considers the problem of perfectly secure communication on a modified version of Wyner's wiretap channel II where both the main and wiretapper's channels have some erasures. A secret message is to be encoded into $n$ channel symbols and transmitted.

Molecularly Engineered Highly Stable Memristors with Ultra‐Low Operational Voltage: Integrating Synthetic DNA with Quasi‐2D Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecularly engineered memristors integrating Ag nanoparticle–embedded synthetic DNA with quasi‐2D halide perovskites enable ultra‐low‐operational voltage, forming‐free resistive switching, and record‐low power density. This synergistic integration of customized DNA and 2D OHP in bio‐hybrid architecture enhances charge transport, reduces variability ...

On the similarities between generalized rank and Hamming weights and their applications to network coding

open access: yes, 2016
Rank weights and generalized rank weights have been proven to characterize error and erasure correction, and information leakage in linear network coding, in the same way as Hamming weights and generalized Hamming weights describe classical error and ...

Multibit Ferroelectric HfZrO Memcapacitor for Non‐Volatile Analogue Memory and Reconfigurable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric memcapacitors enable non‐volatile, voltage‐programmable capacitance tuning for adaptive electronics. A TiN/HfZrO/TiN device stack demonstrates more than eight stable capacitance states within a 24 pF memory window in compact 60 ×$\times$ 60 μm2$\umu{\rm m}^{2}$ devices at low operating voltages.

Performance evaluation of the Mojette erasure code for fault-tolerant distributed hot data storage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Packet erasure codes are today a real alternative to replication in fault tolerant distributed storage systems. In this paper, we propose the Mojette erasure code based on the Mojette transform, a formerly tomographic tool.

Mapping Nanoscale Protein‐Corona Kinetics of DoE‐Optimized Perfluorocarbon Encapsulated‐PLGA Nanoparticles by In Situ, Time‐Resolved Synchrotron SAXS

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Complex Erasure Coded Computations

open access: yes, 2017
Whitepaper submitted to the 2017 DOE ASCR Applied Math Meeting. Primarily addresses question 4b "What applied mathematics research is needed for the era of supercomputing beyond the scaling limits of Moore's law? What existing elements in the DOE applied mathematics portfolio can be leveraged?" also touches on 2b "How can machine learning, artificial ...
