Nasal Epithelial Immune Signatures Are Associated With Age‐Dependent Asthma Trajectories in Early Life

Nasal epithelial transcriptomics identified three cytokine‐associated epithelial immune programs linked to childhood asthma phenotypes. Age‐associated epithelial polarization shifted from IFN/type‐17‐associated toward type‐2‐associated programs after 3 years of age.

Pathways of Epithelial Barrier Breakdown and Remodeling in Esophageal Organoids by Commonly Used Surfactants

This study shows that SDS and CAPB directly impair esophageal epithelial barrier integrity in primary EoE‐derived models. SDS induces stronger inflammatory, oxidative stress, and keratinization responses than CAPB. Asthma Remission From Childhood to Young Adulthood–A Population‐Based Cohort Study

Allergy, EarlyView.
Among 257 participants with asthma at age 8 years, 39% achieved symptom‐based remission by age 24, 29% achieved clinical remission, and 18% achieved complete remission. Male sex increased the likelihood of symptom‐based remission, while food sensitization and overweight/obesity decreased the likelihood.
