Safety evaluation of the food enzyme endo‐1,4‐β‐xylanase from the non‐genetically modified Trichoderma citrinoviride strain TCLSC

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The food enzyme endo‐1,4‐β‐xylanase (4‐β‐D‐xylan xylanohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.8) is produced with the non‐genetically modified Trichoderma citrinoviride strain TCLSC by Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd. It was considered free from viable cells of the production organism. It is intended to be used in four food manufacturing processes.

Observations on the action of ergotamine [PDF]

open access: yes, 1934
The search for the active principle of ergot was started soon after the introduction of the drug in medicine. Tanret (1875) was the first to crystallise ergotinine in a state of purity, and from the mother liquors of the crystalline alkaloid he ...

Functional Characterization of the Prejunctional Receptors Mediating the Inhibition by Ergotamine of the Rat Perivascular Sensory Peptidergic Drive

open access: yes, 2019
Calcitonin gene-related peptide (α-CGRP) released from perivascular sensory nerves induces decreases in diastolic blood pressure (DBP). Experimentally, this can be shown by spinal thoracic (T9–T12) electrical stimulation of these afferent fibers. Because

Association Between Migraine and Ischemic Cardio-Cerebrovascular Disease (CCVD) and Effects of Triptans and Ergotamine on the Risk of Ischemic CCVD in Patients with Migraine in the Korean NHIS-HEALS Cohort

open access: yes, 2023
Background and objectives: Triptans and ergotamine are commonly used to treat migraine, a risk factor for ischemic stroke. This study aimed to investigate the association between migraine and ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular disease (CCVD).

The effect of ergotamine and dihydroergotamine on cerebral blood flow in man.

open access: yes, 1987
The effects of ergotamine and dihydroergotamine on cerebral blood flow was investigated 4 hours after i.v. injection as these drugs might be of importance for migraine treatment.

Dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, methysergide and sumatriptan - Basic science in relation to migraine treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor family mediates the effects of several drugs highly effective in migraine primarily by activating 5-HT 1B, 5-HT1D, and 5-HT1F receptors.
