On the aposteriori error estimates for finite‐element solutions

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 1998
The analysis of the accuracy of the aposteriori error estimation procedure for finite‐element solutions is presented. The function Y — y is used as an aposteriori error estimator, here y ∈ S 0 1,Δ is the finite‐element solution of the given problem and Y

FUNCTIONAL-TYPE A POSTERIORI ERROR ESTIMATES FOR SOLUTIONS IN DEFORMABLE SOLID MECHANICS

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics, 2020
Paper provides a historical review and recent developments on theoretical justification and numerical implementations of functional a posteriori error estimates and adaptive algorithms for approximate solutions to problems in deformable solid mechanics ...

A Probabilistic Approach for Solutions of Deterministic PDE’s as Well as Their Finite Element Approximations

open access: yesAxioms, 2021
A probabilistic approach is developed for the exact solution u to a deterministic partial differential equation as well as for its associated approximation uh(k) performed by Pk Lagrange finite element.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Optimal error estimates of spectral Petrov-Galerkin and collocation methods for initial value problems of fractional differential equations

open access: yes, 2015
We present optimal error estimates for spectral Petrov-Galerkin methods and spectral collocation methods for linear fractional ordinary differential equations with initial value on a finite interval.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Interest rate pass-through estimates from error correction models ECM

open access: yesHo Chi Minh City Open University Journal of Science - Economics and Business Administration, 2015
This paper examines the degree of pass-through and adjustment speed of retail interest rates in response to changes in monetary policy rates in commercial banks of Viet Nam during the period 07/2004 to 06/2014.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Error estimates for elliptic equations with not exactly periodic coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This note is devoted to the derivation of quantitative estimates for linear elliptic equations with coefficients that are not exactly ε-periodic and the ellipticity constant may degenerate for vanishing ε.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
