A Recursive Least Squares Method with Double-Parameter for Online Estimation of Electric Meter Errors

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
In view of the existing verification methods of electric meters, there are problems such as high maintenance cost, poor accuracy, and difficulty in full coverage, etc.

Error Estimation

open access: yes
AbstractConsider first data-based machine learning techniques. They rely on large sets of examples provided during the training stage and do not learn with equations. Dealing with a situation that do not belong to the training set variability, namely an out-of-distribution sample, can be very challenging for these techniques.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Regression calibration for Cox regression under heteroscedastic measurement error - Determining risk factors of cardiovascular diseases from error-prone nutritional replication data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
For instance nutritional data are often subject to severe measurement error, and an adequate adjustment of the estimators is indispensable to avoid deceptive conclusions.

Convergence analysis of iterative scheme and error estimation of positive solution for a fractional differential equation

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2018
In this paper, we focus on the iterative scheme and error estimation of positive solutions for a class of p-Laplacian fractional order differential equation subject to Riemann-Stieltjes integral boundary condition.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Bootstrap for estimating the mean squared error of the spatial EBLUP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This work assumes that the small area quantities of interest follow a Fay-Herriot model with spatially correlated random area effects. Under this model, parametric and nonparametric bootstrap procedures are proposed for estimating the mean squared ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Equilibration a Posteriori Error Estimation for Convection–Diffusion–Reaction Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We study a posteriori error estimates for convection–diffusion–reaction problems with possibly dominating convection or reaction and inhomogeneous boundary conditions.
