A Comparison of Regional Decisions for Doses and Administrations of New Drugs: Concordance, Discordance, and Dependencies

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Regional differences in approved drug dosages and administration are shaped by complex factors, including clinical data, prior regulatory decisions, and region‐specific considerations. This study investigated how such factors are associated with variations in approved doses across the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), European Medicines

Investigating of soil features and landslide risk in Western-Atakent (İstanbul) using resistivity, MASW, Microtremor and boreholes methods

open access: yesOpen Geosciences, 2019
In Western-Atakent (İstanbul), population density is increasing day by day and settlement areas are expanding. Soil properties and landslide conditions of these expanding regions must be absolutely examined. In the geophysics, there are many methods used

The impact of forced closure on proppant distribution of hydraulic fracturing in shale formations

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Research findings demonstrate that implementing forced closure within shale formations can remarkably mitigate proppant settlement, concurrently increasing the effective propped surface area from 29.74% to 38.68%. Abstract Forced closure is widely used in conventional oil and gas reservoirs to promote uniform proppant placement.

Weak equivalence and non-classifiability of measure preserving actions

open access: yes, 2012
Ab\'ert-Weiss have shown that the Bernoulli shift s of a countably infinite group \Gamma is weakly contained in any free measure preserving action (mpa) b of \Gamma.

Electrical Resistivity Tomography Investigation of Permafrost Conditions in a Thermokarst Site in Fairbanks, Alaska

open access: yesAIMS Geosciences
The degradation of permafrost poses severe environmental threats to communities in cold regions. As near-surface permafrost warms, extensive topographic variability is prevalent in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic communities.

Enzyme-replacement Therapy in Classic Infantile Pompe Disease: Long-term outcome, dosing and the role of antibodies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
__Abstract__ The introduction of enzyme-replacement therapy (ERT) in 2006 has dramatically increased the interest in Pompe disease. In the three decades following the discovery of acid a-glucosidase deficiency as cause of the disease by H.G. Hers in

Inherited metabolic epilepsies–established diseases, new approaches

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Inherited metabolic epilepsies (IMEs) represent the inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) in which epilepsy is a prevailing component, often determining other neurodevelopmental outcomes associated with the disorder. The different metabolic pathways affected by individual IMEs are the basis of their rarity and heterogeneity.

Time‐Domain Geoelectrical Modeling and Experimental Validation of Ground Potential Rise in Multilayer Soil Structures during Fault Events

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This study develops a time‐domain geoelectrical model of ground potential rise (GPR) in multilayer soil that couples electromagnetic field theory with nonlinear fault arc resistance. Finite‐element simulations calibrated against scaled fault‐injection experiments reproduce measured GPR and step/touch voltages within 4.7% error, revealing that steady ...
