Colored Dimeric Alkaloids from the Barks of Erythrina variegata and Their Neuroprotective Effects.
Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2021Five dimeric Erythrina alkaloids, named erythrivarines J-N, were isolated from the barks of Erythrina variegata L. (Fabaceae). The erythrivarines J-L featured a 6/6/5/6/6/5/6/6/6 ring system and super conjugated double bond systems, causing intense color

Biosynthesis of Erythrina alkaloids in Erythrina crista-galli
Phytochemistry, 1999A precursor application system was developed to allow the study of Erythrina alkaloid formation in Erythrina crista-galli. Fruit wall tissue of this species was recognized as the major site of alkaloid biosynthesis. The application of radioactively and 13C-labelled potential precursors showed that the hitherto assumed precursor (S)-norprotosinomenine ...

Erythrina alkaloids from leaves of Erythrina arborescens
Tetrahedron, 2019Continued interest in Erythrina alkaloids resulted in the isolation of 38 alkaloids including 7 undescribed ones from the leaves of Erythrina arborescens Roxburgh. Among the new compounds, erythrivarines H-I were two dimeric alkaloids, while others were Erythrina alkaloid glucosides.

Quadrastichus erythrinae (Erythrina gall wasp).
2021Abstract Unusual growths, caused by Erythrina gall wasp (Quadrastichus erythrinae), on leaves and young shoots of coral trees (Erythrina spp). alerts to the presence of this emerging invasive species. Quadrastichus erythrinae measures a mere 1.5 mm and may be spread easily via infected leaves from infected Erythrina specimens.

Extractives from Erythrina eriotriocha
Journal of Natural Products, 1990From the stem bark of Erythrina eriotriocha, a novel isoflavone, eriotriochin has been isolated and characterized, in addition to known compounds auriculatin, dihydroauriculatin, and 3'-O-methylorobol. The structure of compound 1 was determined by COSY, selective INEPT, 2D HMBC, NOESY, DEPT, and other spectroscopic techniques.

[Erythrina alkaloids from stems of Erythrina corallodendron].
Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2021This study aims to investigate Erythrina alkaloids from the stems of Erythrina corallodendron. Eighteen Erythrina alkaloids were isolated from the 95% ethanol extract of the stems of E. corallodendron by silica gel, octadecyl silica( ODS),Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and preparative HPLC.
