[Erythrocyte aggregation and vascular pathology].

Journal des maladies vasculaires, 1991
The aggregation of erythrocytes plays an essential part in vascular diseases involving both the veins and the arteries. In the veins, where the lowest blood flow rates are observed, the conditions of flow foster the aggregation of the erythrocytes, which accounts for blood hyperviscosity that may reinforce the effects of the stasis.

Erythrocyte aggregation in clinical medicine.

Klinische Wochenschrift, 1987
Red cell aggregation is one of the part of the properties of blood which determine blood flow in the impaired microcirculation. Erythrocyte aggregation does influence not only the viscosity at low rates of shear but leads to a vicious circle which again impairs the blood flow in the microcirculation.
