Interrelationship of eosinophilia and IgE antibody production to larval ES antigen in Toxocara canis infected mice

Parasite Immunology, 1984
Summary In order to elucidate the relationship between eosinophilia and IgE antibody production in parasitic infection, the degree of eosinophilia and IgE antibody levels to larval ES antigen of Toxocara canis were investigated in eight inbred strains of mice after infection with T. canis.

Role of T-cell immunity to embryonal stem (ES) cell antigen SOX2 in the progression of myeloma

Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2009
8522 Background: Clinical outcome in patients (pts) with asymptomatic plasma-proliferative disorders, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) and asymptomatic myeloma (AMM), is highly variable. There is a need to identify specific tumor or host related features that predict the risk of disease progression.

Serodiagnosis of experimental sparganum infections of mice and human sparganosis by ELISA using ES antigens of Spirometra mansoni spargana

Parasitology Research, 2010
We conducted a study of serodiagnosis of experimental sparganum infections of mice and human sparganosis by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using excretory-secretory (ES) antigens of Spirometra mansoni spargana and compared the sensitivity and specificity of crude and ES antigens for detecting the specific anti-sparganum IgG antibodies.

A case of Ascaris suum visceral larva migrans diagnosed by using A. suum larval excretory-secretory (ES) antigen

Scandinavian Journal of Infectious Diseases, 2006
A 42-y-old female presented with common cold-like symptoms. Laboratory data showed mild liver dysfunction together with peripheral blood eosinophilia. She was suspected of having a helminthic infection, however parasite eggs or larvae were not detected by repeated stool examinations.

Enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) for the detection of specific IgG antibodies to Toxocara canis ES antigens.

Bollettino dell'Istituto sieroterapico milanese, 1986
This paper reports the development of an enzyme-immunosorbent assay for the detection in human serum of specific IgG against excretory/secretory antigens of second stage Toxocara canis larvae. Similar tests have been already used in several countries for clinical and epidemiological purposes on human Toxocariasis and currently represent the only ...

Evaluation of an Immunodiagnostic Test Based on the Use of Wuchereria bancrofti Mf ES Antigen in ELISA for Bancroftian Filariasis

1984
Bancroftian filariasis caused by human filarial parasite Wuchereria bancrofti affecting 250 million people in the world is a major public health problem in developing tropical countries. Parasitological examination techniques are not useful for diagnosis of filariasis with low microfilaraemia, occult or chronic infections.

[Determination of circulating filarial antigen using monoclonal antibody against Brugia malayi adult worm ES antigen with Dot-ELISA].

Zhonghua yu fang yi xue za zhi [Chinese journal of preventive medicine], 1990
A hybridoma cell line secreting monoclonal antibody (McAb) against Brugia malayi adult worm excretory-secretory antigen (AWES) was established. The identification of the Ig sub-classes showed that McAb AWES belongs to IgG. We developed a Dot-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (Dot-ELISA) to detect circulating parasite antigens in human lymphatic ...

Apoptosis of cells isolated from mouse of lymphatic node induced by ES antigen of T. spiralis

Acta Scientiarum Polonorum -Medicina Veterinaria, 2002
The authors examined in vitro the influence of the ES antigen of T. spiralis on the cells of lymphatic nodes in healthy mice. They found that this antigen is capable of causing apoptosis. The number of the cells demonstrating such changes depends on the concentration of the antigen and on the time of reaction. After 3 hours of incubation, all the cells
