The limitations of existing clinical treatments highlight the need for a more comprehensive strategy for addressing infected diabetic wounds. A tri‐layered scaffold is developed to deliver therapeutics loaded in CuBDC and ZIF‐8 MOFs that are tailored to the requirements of deep‐infected diabetic wounds.

Computing preimages of Boolean Networks [PDF]
In this paper we present an algorithm to address the predecessor problem of feed-forward Boolean networks. We propose an probabilistic algorithm, which solves this problem in linear time with respect to the number of nodes in the network. Finally, we evaluate our algorithm for random Boolean networks and the regulatory network of Escherichia coli.

Metal–Organic Framework‐Based Antimicrobial Touch Surfaces to Prevent Cross‐Contamination
A MOF‐based antimicrobial door handle cover is developed. It completely inhibits the cross‐contamination of Gram‐positive bacterial species (Staphylococcus aureus, and Enterococcus faecalis), Gram‐negative bacterial species (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Acinetobacter baumannii), and fungi (Candida albicans). Abstract Infection diseases

Some mathematical tools for the Lenski experiment [PDF]
The Lenski experiment is a long term daily reproduction of Escherichia coli, that has evidenced phenotypic and genetic evolutions along the years. Some mathematical models, that could be usefull in understanding the results of that experiment, are reviewed here: stochastic and deterministic growth, mutation appearance and fixation, competition of ...

High‐Resolution Patterned Delivery of Chemical Signals From 3D‐Printed Picoliter Droplet Networks
3D‐printed picoliter droplet networks have been fabricated that control gene expression in bacterial populations by releasing chemical signals with precise spatial definition and high temporal resolution. This system of effector release is widely applicable, offering diverse applications in biology and medicine.

Sustainable Smart Packaging from Protein Nanofibrils
Smart packaging can extend shelf life and improve food quality monitoring. This study introduces a novel smart packaging solution using amyloid fibrils and red radish anthocyanins to monitor seafood spoilage. These findings show that these films effectively indicate shrimp freshness and possess high antibacterial and antioxidant properties, offering a ...
