Surgical management of esophagogastric junction tumors
Surgical resection with lymphadenectomy is the mainstay of treatment for all resectable esophagogastric junction tumors, prior to systemic generalization of the disease. This makes accurate pre-treatment staging and classification of the tumors most demanding.
