Indocyanine green with infrared imaging (ICG‐IRI) provides real‐time fluorescence visualization of the distal myotomy endpoint during peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM). In this study of 39 patients, ICG‐IRI achieved a 94.9% success rate in fluorescence detection and significantly improved esophageal relaxation and symptoms.

ABSTRACT Objective Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)‐guided hepaticogastrostomy (HGS) in intrahepatic bile duct segment 3 (B3) is widely used for biliary drainage. Post‐puncture procedures are easy to perform in intrahepatic bile duct segment 2 (B2), but using a conventional oblique‐viewing (OV) scope (GF‐UCT260) may result in transesophageal puncture.

Statistically significant differences between the three groups were observed. Furthermore, the ΔE* of texture and color enhancement imaging (TXI)‐1 was significantly greater than that of TXI‐2. Box plots show the median (center line) and interquartile range (box). Whiskers extend to the most extreme values within 1.5×IQR, and values beyond the whiskers

Limited predictive value of FDG-PET for response assessment in the preoperative treatment of esophageal cancer : results of a prospective multi-center trial (SAKK 75/02) [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Only responding patients benefit from preoperative therapy for locally advanced esophageal carcinoma. Early detection of non-responders may avoid futile treatment and delayed surgery.

ABSTRACT Mixed neuroendocrine‐non‐neuroendocrine neoplasm (MiNEN) is a rare, highly malignant tumor comprising both neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) and non‐neuroendocrine neoplasm (non‐NEN) components. MiNEN arising at the esophagogastric junction (EGJ) is uncommon, and pretreatment identification of both components remains challenging.
