Home automation architecture: design and implementation using ESP8266

This paper presents a methodology of design and implementation details of a solution based on Internet of things (IoT) applied to home automation. The solution is implemented using the system on a chip ESP8266. The proposed architecture allows the interaction between sensors and actuators (client nodes) linked through a home wireless network.

Home automation system based on ESP8266

This paper describes the implementation of an Internet of Things Home Automation System with energy measurement capabilities. The basic hardware components are the ESP8266 micro-controller by Espressif and energy meter chip HLW8012 by HLW Technology. The Software works over the TCP/IP stack and uses the MQTT protocol to communicate between the devices.
