近年、国際語としての英語の役割が大きくなるにしたがい、英語の学習者が急速に増えている。従来は教養や趣味として学ぶ者が多かったが、現代では明確な目的をもった学習者が増加している。そのため個人の目的とニーズに合うように、特殊目的のための英語(English for Specific Purposes)が必要になってきた。ここ杉野服飾大学では、ファッション関係の仕事に就く学生が多いので、従来の文学やリーディングを中心にした英語より、コミュニケーションを重視した実用英語の学習に重点がおかれている。しかし、学生が英語学習に対しどのような目的と期待感をもっているのか、どのようなアクティビティーが彼らの目的を一番活かせていけるのか ...
