The second four-electron singlet in the Hubbard impurity model
We consider the energy operator of four-electron systems in the Hubbard impurity model and investigate the structure of the essential spectrum and discrete spectra for the second singlet state of the system.

Essential Spectrum and Feller Type Properties
AbstractWe give necessary and sufficient conditions for a regular semi-Dirichlet form to enjoy a new Feller type property, which we call weak Feller property. Our characterization involves potential theoretic as well as probabilistic aspects and seems to be new even in the symmetric case. As a consequence, in the symmetric case, we obtain a new variant

Targeting an Essential GTPase Obg for the Development of Broad-Spectrum Antibiotics. [PDF]
A promising new drug target for the development of novel broad-spectrum antibiotics is the highly conserved small GTPase Obg (YhbZ, CgtA), a protein essential for the survival of all bacteria including Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC).

The Essential Spectrum of the Essentially Isometric Operator
AbstractLet T be a contraction on a complex, separable, infinite dimensional Hilbert space and let σ(T) (resp. σe(T)) be its spectrum (resp. essential spectrum). We assume that T is an essentially isometric operator; that is, IH -T*T is compact. We show that if D\σ(T) ≠ Ø, then for every f from the disc-algebraσe(f(T)) = f(σe(T))where D is the open ...

The Essential Spectrum of Advective Equations [PDF]
A description of the essential spectrum is given for a general class of linear advective PDE with pseudodifferential bounded perturbation. We prove that every point in the Sacker-Sell spectrum of the corresponding bicharacteristic-amplitude system exponentiates into the spectrum of PDE. Exact spectral pictures are found in various cases.

On the Essential Spectrum of Schrödinger Operators on Trees [PDF]
It is known that the essential spectrum of a Schrödinger operator $H$ on $\ell^{2}\left(\mathbb{N}\right)$ is equal to the union of the spectra of right limits of $H$. The natural generalization of this relation to $\mathbb{Z}^{n}$ is known to hold as well.

Essential spectra of weighted composition operators with hyperbolic symbols
In this paperwe study both the spectra and the essential spectra ofweighted composition operators on Hardy spaces Hp(ⅅ), standard weighted Bergman spaces Apα(ⅅ) and weighted H∞1-type spaces when the symbols are of hyperbolic ...

On Effectiveness of Hopping-Based Spread Spectrum Techniques for Network Forensic Traceback [PDF]
Network-based crime has been increasing in both extent and severity and network-based forensics encapsulates an essential part of legal surveillance. A key network forensics tool is traceback that can be used to identify true sources of suspects.

The -Jeribi essential spectrum
UDC 517.9We study some properties and results on the -Jeribi essential spectrum of linear bounded operators on a Banach space. In particular, we give some criteria for coincidence of this spectrum for two linear operators and the relation of this type of spectrum with the well-known -Schechter essential spectrum.
