Selective Esterification of Phosphonic Acids [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Here, we report straightforward and selective synthetic procedures for mono- and diesterification of phosphonic acids. A series of alkoxy group donors were studied and triethyl orthoacetate was found to be the best reagent as well as a solvent for the performed transformations.

Esterification of p-hydroxybenzoic acid with glucose using a γ-Al2O3/SO4 catalyst [PDF]

open access: yesPharmaciana, 2019
Esterification of p-hydroxybenzoic acid with glucose can be expected to produce esters. The rate of esterification reaction is usually very slow and, therefore, needs an acid catalyst to accelerate it.

Esterification of Free Fatty Acids with Glycerol within the Biodiesel Production Framework [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Companies in the field of the collection and treatment of waste cooking oils (WCO) for subsequent biodiesel production usually have to cope with high acidity oils, which cannot be directly transformed into fatty acid methyl esters due to soap production.

In vitro esterification of cholesterol by pancreatic juice and by acetone powder extracts of small intestine: the effect of unsaturated fatty acids upon esterification with saturated fatty acids

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1965
The esterification of cholesterol by rat pancreatic juice and by extracts of acetone powders of rat small intestine was studied with palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids.

Intensified processes for FAME production from waste cooking oil: a technological review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This article reviews the intensification of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) production from waste cooking oil (WCO) using innovative process equipment. In particular, it addresses the intensification of WCO feedstock transformation by transesterification,

The synthesis of phosphinates: traditional versus green chemical approaches

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis, 2014
Three alternatives are discussed in comparison with the classical esterification of phosphinic chlorides by reaction with alcohols. All novel methods, such as microwave (MW)-assisted direct esterification, MW-assisted phase transfer catalyzed alkylating ...

Effect of catalytic conditions on the synthesis of new aconitate esters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Sugar cane is a crop which generates large amounts of biomass and a juice rich in highvalue natural molecules. After extracting sugar from the juice, the recovering of various compounds such as organic acids contained in molasses could contribute to ...

Tissue expression studies on the mouse acyl-CoA: cholesterol acyltransferase gene (Acact): findings supporting the existence of multiple cholesterol esterification enzymes in mice

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1997
Cholesterol esterification is involved in the regulation of cellular cholesterol content and has been hypothesized to play a role in important physiologic processes including intestinal cholesterol absorption, hepatic lipoprotein production, and ...
