A Mouse Model of Hypospadias Induced by Estradiol Benzoate

Cell Biochemistry and Biophysics, 2015
We wished to establish a mouse model of hypospadias using injections of estradiol benzoate for investigating the molecular mechanisms of hypospadias. Fifty timed pregnant mice were randomly divided into five study groups: A, B, C, D, and E. These groups were injected subcutaneously with estradiol benzoate mixed with sesame oil at, respectively, the ...

Effect of Estradiol Benzoate on Rat Testis and Adrenal

Experimental and Clinical Endocrinology & Diabetes, 2009
The effects of in vivo administration of estradiol benzoate at a dose of 50 micrograms/rat/day for 15 days on testosterone production of testis and adrenal in vitro were investigated in rats. The data revealed that the androgen synthesis of both the steroidogenic organs were reduced by the treatment.

Effects of Estradiol Benzoate on Thyroid-Pituitary Function in Female Rats*

Endocrinology, 1978
Effects of ovariectomy (ovx) and ovx with estradiol benzoate (EB) therapy on total and free T3 (FT3), T4, and [125I]T3 disappearance rate; basal and post-TRH, TSH, T3, and T4 concentrations were studied in female rats. Two weeks after ovx, no significant change in hormone concentrations was observed.

Successful transcervical uterine flushing can be performed without or reduced dose of estradiol benzoate in cervical relaxation protocol in Dorper ewes.

Reproduction in domestic animals = Zuchthygiene, 2020
This study assessed the efficiency of cervical relaxation protocol using none, half or full dose (1.0 mg) of estradiol benzoate in Dorper ewes subjected to non-surgical embryo recovery (NSER).
