Hormonal transitions across the female lifespan shape skin disease and psychiatric comorbidity through the brain–skin axis and Neuro‐Immuno‐Cutaneous‐Endocrine (NICE) network. This narrative review links puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum and menopause to dermatologic and psychosocial outcomes.

Novel 13α-estrone derivatives have been synthesized via direct arylation of the phenolic hydroxy function. Chan–Lam couplings of arylboronic acids with 13α-estrone as a nucleophilic partner were carried out under copper catalysis.

HvarAKR1B1‐mediated tolerance in Hippodamia variegata: Deciphering the metabolic adaptation and fitness costs under prolonged starvation

Starvation stress significantly affected the growth and development of Hippodamia variegata. Combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis and RNA interference verification revealed that HvarAKR1B1 may be involved in the response of Hippodamia variegata to starvation stress.

The metabolism of labeled sex hormones was examined in human, canine, and rat aortas. Isolated arterial tissue converted estrone to estradiol, estradiol to estrone, and estrone sulfate to estrone and estradiol.
