En este artículo se describen los acentos nucleares de los enunciados aseverativos en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, desde la perspectiva de tiempo real, a partir de datos de los períodos 1970 y 2010. La descripción prosódica se basa en el modelo métrico-autosegmental, con apoyo de variables sociolingüísticas.
