Cu‐based catalysts as a cornerstone in advancing sustainable energy technologies are fully reviewed in this manuscript, highlighting their potential in photo‐ and electrocatalysis. It includes metallic copper, copper oxides, copper sulfides, copper halide perovskites, copper‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), and covalent organic frameworks (COFs),

Redeposition-Free Deep Etching in Small KY(WO4)2 Samples
KY(WO4)2 is a promising material for on-chip laser sources. Deep etching of small KY(WO4)2 samples in combination with various thin film deposition techniques is desirable for the manufacturing of such devices.

A single‐step, low‐temperature co‐pyrolysis process removes encapsulated seed metal NPs (10–50 nm) from CNTs, redistributing them as surface‐anchored metal and metal–nitride NCs (1–1.5 nm). Herein, Ni3N NCs achieve an ultra‐low onset overpotential for CO2 reduction to CO with >98% Faradaic efficiency across 100–700 mA cm−2.

Serviteurs devenus maîtres : Focillon et la gravure d’interprétation
In the writings of Henri Focillon, engraving is presented like drawings or paintings, in the enclosed world of the artist and his copper plate. The paradox on which this discourse rests is the suppression of the process of replication and diffusion ...

Optimisation of ultrafast laser assisted etching in fused silica.
Ultrafast laser assisted etching (ULAE) in fused silica is an attractive technology for fabricating three-dimensional micro-components. ULAE is a two-step process whereby ultrafast laser inscription (ULI) is first used to modify the substrate material ...

MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Multifunctional atomic layer deposited coatings and interface treatments enhance direct solar water splitting on GaAs/GaInP tandem cells. Optimized TiO2/Pt nanoparticle bilayers ensure durability and catalytic efficiency with minimal optical losses, while H2 plasma pretreatments maximize photovoltage and interfacial charge extraction.
