Single‐Step Patterning of Biocompatible Neural Electrodes Using Black‐Pt Functionalized Laser‐Induced Graphene for in Vivo Electrophysiology

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
This study introduces a single‐step laser patterning method for fabricating black‐Pt functionalized laser‐induced graphene (LIG) neural electrodes. Using only a laser and a spray‐coated biocompatible lubricant, scalable EEG, ECoG, and neural probes are produced within 5 h.

Magnetic Manipulation of Spatially Confined Multiferroic Heuslers by Martensitic Microstructure Engineering

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
A simple strategy is introduced for promoting the magnetic stray‐field contribution at the surface of epitaxially grown multiferroic shape‐memory Heusler Ni–Mn–Ga thin films and spatially confined structures having negligible magnetic stray‐field contribution.

Microfluidic single‐cell technologies for immunotherapeutic target discovery: From design concepts to preclinical applications

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Immunotherapy leverages the immune system to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases but is hindered by cellular heterogeneity in tissues and immune landscapes. Single‐cell technologies, particularly microfluidic‐enabled omics, revolutionize disease understanding by resolving this complexity at unprecedented resolution.

Exploring Cellular Response to Re‐Entrant Surface Topographies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 19, October 6, 2025.
Re‐entrant microstructures with varied cap geometries and surface chemistries are used to probe the behavior of breast cancer cells. Geometry and wettability jointly influence adhesion, spreading, and proliferation. The study reveals how curvature‐driven confinement and surface material modulate mechanotransduction, offering insights for designing ...
