Intrinsic Activity of MnOx-CeO2 Catalysts in Ethanol Oxidation [PDF]
MnOx-CeO2 mixed oxides are considered efficient oxidation catalysts superior to the corresponding single oxides. Although these oxides have been the subject of numerous studies, their fundamental performance indicators, such as turnover frequency (TOF ...

Ethanol and CO electro-oxidation with amorphous alloys as electrodes [PDF]
In recent years the interest in the use of ethanol as fuel in direct ethanol fuel cells (DEFCs) has increased. Ethanol is less toxic than methanol and the bigger size of the molecule reduces the permeability through the electrolytic membrane.

Pt‑Based Catalysts for Electrochemical Oxidation of Ethanol
Despite its attractive features as a power source for direct alcohol fuel cells, utilization of ethanol is still hampered by both fundamental and technical challenges. The rationale behind the slow and incomplete ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) with low selectivity towards CO2 on most Pt-based catalysts is still far from being understood, and a number

Near‐Infrared Light‐Driven Zn/Au Janus Micromotors for Multiplex SERS Detection of Anticancer Drugs
Zn/Au Janus micromotors, propelled by thermophoretic effects under NIR light, function as active SERS platforms for single and multiplex detection of anticancer drugs. Their dynamic motion enhances analyte exchange at the Au interface, reducing saturation and competitive adsorption, thereby improving sensitivity and extending the linear detection range.
