An Implication of Ether Drift [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1998
The experimental results of the two-photon absorption(TPA) and M\"{o}ssbauer-rotor(MR) for testing the isotropy of the speed of light are explained in an ether drift model with a drift velocity of $\sim 10^{-3}c$. Further tests of the ether drift assumption are suggested.

Ipso-Borylation of Aryl Ethers via Ni-Catalyzed C-OMe Cleavage.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2015
A Ni-catalyzed ipso-borylation of aryl ethers via C(sp(2))-OMe and C(sp(3))-OMe cleavage is described. The transformation is characterized by its wide substrate scope under mild conditions and an exquisite divergence in site selectivity that can be ...

Polymer Brush Growth by Surface‐Initiated Ring‐Opening Polymerization from a Cross‐Linked Polymer Thin Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A stable cross‐linked ultra‐thin polymer coating for surface‐initiated ring‐opening polymerization (SI‐ROP) of hexamethylcyclotrisiloxane and ε‐caprolactone for growth of high grafting density poly(dimethyl siloxane) and poly(caprolactone) brushes is developed.

Astronomical aberration in the theory of ether and the theory of relativity. A new original interpretation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
A new interpretation of astronomical aberration is given in this paper and it is based on the new theory of reference frames. The new interpretation confirms the result of classical physics based on the concept of ether and does not confirm the result of Special Relativity based on the constancy of the speed of light.

Shape‐Stabilization of Phase Change Materials with Carbon‐Conscious Poly(hydroxy)Urethane Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Poly(hydroxy)urethane (PHU) foam, derivable from carbon dioxide (CO2) and bio‐based resources, is a promising material platform for shape‐stabilizing phase change materials (PCMs). We demonstrate the encapsulation of both paraffins and calcium chloride hexahydrate in PHU foam, achieving 48 stable thermal cycles by introducing 5 wt.% barium carbonate ...

Promoting electrocatalytic CO2 reduction to formate via sulfur-boosting water activation on indium surfaces

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
CO2 conversion to liquid fuels provides an appealing means to remove the greenhouse gas, although it is challenging to find materials that are both active and selective.

Komplexchemie von Molekülen mit hydrophilen und lipophilen Hohlräumen und Pseudohohlräumen

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1979
Molecules forming cavities suited for inclusion of ions or of neutral molecules are described: Open chain oligoethylene glycol ethers with and without rigid donor end groups are shown to complex alkali/alkaline earth metal ions and neutral molecules ...

General Ether Theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2000
The paper is an introduction into General Ether Theory (GET). We start with few assumptions about an universal ``ether'' in a Newtonian space-time which fulfils \partial_t \rho + \partial_i (\rho v^i) = 0 \partial_t (\rho v^j) + \partial_i(\rho v^i v^j + p^{ij}) = 0 For an ``effective metric'' $g_{\mu\nu}$ we derive a Lagrangian where the ...

High‐Fidelity Directed Self‐Assembly Using Higher‐χ Polystyrene‐Block‐Poly(Methyl Methacrylate) Derivatives for Dislocation‐Free Sub‐10 nm Features

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The relationship between primary polymer structure and pattern quality in the directed self‐assembly of chemically modified polystyrene‐block‐poly(methyl methacrylate) derivatives is explored. The perpendicular lamellae are aligned, with a periodicity below 20 nm. No parallel orientations or dislocations form, and line patterns are well defined over an

Composición y capacidad antioxidante in-vitro de aceites esenciales ricos en Timol, Carvacrol, trans-Anetol o Estragol Composition and in-vitro antioxidant capacity of essential oils rich in Thymol, Carvacrol, trans-Anethole or Estragole

open access: yesSalud UIS, 2009
Se determinó por cromatografía de gases acoplada a espectrometría de masas (GC-MS) la composición química de aceites esenciales (AE), aislados por hidrodestilación asistida por la radiación de microondas (MWHD), de las especies vegetales aromáticas ...
