Formation and inhibition of ethyl glucuronide and ethyl sulfate
Forensic Science International, 2016Ethyl glucuronide (EtG) und ethyl sulfate (EtS) are widely accepted biomarkers in forensic and clinical settings. Even though, levels of EtG and EtS in blood and urine increase with increasing doses of alcohol, a high inter-individual variability in their production has been noticed.

Ethylation: Biological Formation of an S -Ethyl Homolog of Lincomycin
Science, 1964Streptomyces umbrinus var. cyaneoniger produces the antibiotic lincomycin. When grown in the presence of ethionine an additional antibiotic is produced. Physical and chemical analyses and incorporation of radioisotopes indicate that the new antibiotic is the S- ethyl homolog of ...

Ethylene Formation from Ethyl Moiety of Ethionine
Science, 1967In plants, ethylene is formed in the presence of light and flavin mononucleotide from ethionine and S -ethylcysteine. The ethylene is formed from the ethyl moiety of ethionine.

Vibrational conformational analysis of ethyl formate
Journal of Raman Spectroscopy, 1994AbstractInfrared (4000–50 cm−1) spectra of gaseous, amorphous and crystalline ethyl formate, HCOOCH2CH3, were recorded. Raman spectra of the gaseous, liquid and solid phases were investigated from 3500 to 25 cm−1. Additionally, qualitative depolarization ratios were obtained from the Raman spectra of the liquids. Ab initio calculations were carried out

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1984
Abstract Vapor-liquid equilibrium data are presented for the binary systems ethyl formate-methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) at 40°C and 50 °C and ethyl formate-toluene at 48°Cand 51°C and for the ternary system ethyl formate-MEK-toluene at 50°C. The measurements were carried out in a recirculation still similar to that proposed by Rock and Sieg.

Lipase-catalyzed transesterification of ethyl formate to octyl formate
Journal of Molecular Catalysis B: Enzymatic, 2014Abstract The preparation of octyl formate via lipase-catalyzed transesterification of ethyl formate with 1-octanol is demonstrated. To shift the equilibrium of the reaction, ethyl formate was added in surplus but could be partially recovered for subsequent reactions.
