Enzymatic Ring‐Opening Polymerization of ε‐Caprolactone in Novel Green Solvents: from Batch Systems to Continuous Flow Mesoreactors

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Multi‐gram synthesis of CaLB‐catalyzed ROP of ε‐CL in green organic media under flow conditions. ABSTRACT The transition toward sustainable alternatives in polymeric material production is a critical step in reducing the environmental impact of the traditional plastic industry.

Efeito de períodos de controle de plantas daninhas sobre o desenvolvimento inicial de plantas de eucalipto Effects of weed control periods on initial growth and development of eucalypt

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2000

Chromatographic Analysis of Eucalypt Kinos [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1950
KINOS are dark cellular accretions or astringent exudations containing phenolic substances. They are commonly seen as vitreous lumps on the bark, or as veins in the timber, of many eucalypts, and are locally known as ‘gums’. The kinos of certain eucalypts have been examined by the Williams and Kirby's solvent ascent modification1 of the paper partition

Bio‐Based Epoxy Resins from Estragole: Achieving High Glass Transition Temperatures Comparable to DGEBA and Simultaneously Low Viscosities

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Two novel bio‐based epoxy monomers, diglycidyl‐4‐allylphenol (DG‐4A) and triglycidyl‐diallylphenol (TG‐DA), derived from estragole (92% and 72% bio‐content), were synthesized and cured with isophorone diamin (IPDA) and 4,4´‐diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS). The resins show high Tgs, with DG‐4A reaching and TG‐DA exceeding DGEBA‐based systems. These resins

Habitat‐based spatial patterns enable realistic reconstruction of plant spatial arrangements across complex landscapes

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
Spatially explicit individual‐based models provide a powerful way to explore spatial dynamics when direct observation is not feasible. But for many ecological applications, these models require detailed data on the initial spatial arrangement and traits of individuals – information rarely available in large, heterogeneous or novel landscapes.

Rare or threatened vascular plant species of Wollemi National Park, central eastern New South Wales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Wollemi National Park (c. 32o 20’– 33o 30’S, 150o– 151oE), approximately 100 km north-west of Sydney, conserves over 500 000 ha of the Triassic sandstone environments of the Central Coast and Tablelands of New South Wales, and occupies approximately 25 ...

Understanding smallholder decision‐making to increase farm tree diversity: Enablers and barriers for forest landscape restoration in Western Kenya

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Integrating diverse trees and shrubs (hereafter ‘trees’) in agricultural landscapes has emerged as a crucial nature‐based solution to the triple challenge of biodiversity loss, climate change and food security. The potential benefits of on‐farm trees for both people and nature, however, are often constrained by inadequate consideration of ...
