??he diversity of Euglenophyta in Moscow and Moscow region water basions was studied. 207 species (272 taxa of specific and infraspecific level) from 25 genera, 5 families, 2 orders, 1 class, 1 section were found. Among them, 70 species (101 taxa) are reported for Moscow City for the first time.

This bachelor thesis focuses on a detailed description of euglenids (Excavata: Euglenozoa), and selected important species from the class Euglenophyta. Euglenids are unicellular mostly free-living flagellates. Their most closely related protozoans are those from the group called Kinetoplastida.

Culture of Euglena gracilis growing mixotrophycally is subject to fungal infection. 4 fungicides which widely used in agriculture to protect plants against fungal infections were tested for suppression of the development of spores or mycelia of pathogenic fungi in the E. gracilis culture.
