Artificial Piezoelectric Interface Enables Ultrafast Interfacial Ion Kinetic for Highly‐Sensitive Piezoionic Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposes a piezoelectric interface modification strategy to amplify the piezoionic effect. The piezoelectric interface generates an intrinsic electric field, which not only drives rapid ion migration but also concentrates polarized ions on the interface. The flexible sensor delivers superior performance, such as a quick response rate, strong

Synchronization of Analog Neuron Circuits With Digital Memristive Synapses: An Hybrid Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
An hybrid circuit mimicking neural units coupled using memristive synapses is introduced. The analog neurons provide flexibility and robustness, and the digital memristive coupling guarantees the full reconfigurability of the interconnection. The onset of a synchronized spiking behavior in two circuits mimicking the Izhikevich neuron is discussed from ...

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

Orientlib: An R Package for Orientation Data

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Software, 2003
Orientlib is an R package to facilitate working with orientation data, i.e. elements of S O(3). It provides automatic translation between different representations of orientations, including rotation matrices, quaternions, Euler angles and skew-symmetric

Parametrizing Clifford Algebras’ Matrix Generators with Euler Angles

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Clifford Algebras
A parametrization, given by the Euler angles, of Hermitian matrix generators of even and odd-degenerate Clifford algebras is constructed by means of the Kronecker product of a parametrized version of Pauli matrices and by the identification of all possible anticommutation sets for a given algebra.

Self‐Sensing Artificial‐Muscle‐Empowered Humanlike Perception, Interaction, and Positioning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
The proposed self‐sensorized artificial muscle (SSAM) can sense its length change as small as 0.01 mm via a seamlessly integrated multi‐segment induction coil. The SSAM provides accurate length information regardless of its loadings, driving pressure, or muscle design, adequate for robust data‐driven feedback control.

Extending Battery Usage Time of a Heavy‐Duty Mecanum‐Wheeled Autonomous Electric Vehicle Used in Iron–Steel Industry by Considering Wheel Slippage

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
It is a fact that slippage causes tracking errors in both longitudinal and lateral directions which results to have less travel distance in tracking a reference trajectory. Less travel distance means having energy loss of the battery and carrying loads less than planned.

Application of quaternion in visual simulation of rigid body motion

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, 2017
In recent years, with the extensive applications of high performance computer and the rapid development of the attitude control of the spacecraft, quaternion theory has been widely used.Compared with Euler angles, quaternion not only is simple calculation ...
