Iterative Euler deconvolution

Exploration Geophysics, 2020
Euler deconvolution is a widely used semiautomatic method for potential field data, but it produces sprays of solutions which complicate interpretation.

Euler Deconvolution for a Multiridge Set

71st EAGE Conference and Exhibition incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2009, 2009
In this paper we will explore the performances of the joint inversion, through the Euler reduced equations, of more ridges converging to the same source (Euler deconvolution for a multiridge set).

Generalized magnetic tilt‐Euler deconvolution

SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2007, 2007
We introduce Euler deconvolution of the magnetic tilt angle. The magnetic tilt angle is a generalized definition of the local phase. In the Generalized Tilt-Euler deconvolution method, no structural index is required. As a result the method can provide automatic estimates of source location from gridded magnetic data using second order derivatives. The

Grid based Euler deconvolution: Completing the circle with ‘2D constrained Euler’

SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2003, 2003
Mushayandebvu et al. (2001) introduced a second equation, described as a rotational constraint. The profile based method is known as profile ‘extended Euler’ where is assumed zero in the above equation. For each operator window along a profile the solution location derived from the second equation is compared to that derived from conventional Euler and

Euler deconvolution of gravity tensor gradient data

Geophysics, 1999
Abstract Tensor Euler deconvolution has been developed to help interpret gravity tensor gradient data in terms of 3-D subsurface geological structure. Two forms of Euler deconvolution have been used in this study: conventional Euler deconvolution using three gradients of the vertical component of the gravity vector and tensor Euler ...

3-D Gravity Inversion with Euler Deconvolution as a Priori Information

Near Surface 2005 - 11th European Meeting of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics, 2005
It is difficult to obtain high-resolution images by 3D gravity inversion, because the problem is extremely underdetermined – there are too many model parameters. In order to reduce the number of model parameters we propose a 3D gravity inversion scheme utilising Euler deconvolution as a priori information.

Grid Euler deconvolution with constraints for 2D structures

Geophysics, 2004
Abstract The conventional formulation of 3D Euler deconvolution assumes that the observed field in each Euler window varies in all directions. Where the source is 2D, this assumption leads to the production of poorly constrained solutions.

Maximization of Geological Information in 3D Euler Deconvolution

Proceedings, 1995
3D Euler Deconvolution is a rapid boundary and depth estimation method for magnetic and gravity data, requiring a minimum of 'a priori' assumptions regarding the geological model (Reil et al., 1990). The technique ases total field data and its three orthogonal derivatives to solve Euler's homogeneity equation for the position of a magnetization or ...

Euler deconvolution in a radial coordinate system

Geophysical Prospecting, 2014
ABSTRACTThis paper introduces the conversion of Euler's equation from a Cartesian coordinate system to a radial coordinate system, and then demonstrates that for sources of the type 1/rN (where r is the distance to the source, and N is the structural index) it can be solved at each point in space without the need for inversion, for a known structural ...

Magnetic imaging using extended euler deconvolution

SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 1999, 1999
The Euler homogeneity relation expresses how a homogeneous function transforms under scaling. When implemented it helps to determine source location for particular potential field anomalies. In this paper we introduce an additional relation that expresses the transformation of homogenous functions under rotations. The combined implementation of the two
