High Charge Carrier Mobility in Non‐Conjugated 3D Covalent Organic Frameworks
A non‐conjugated 3D COF constructed via boronate ester linkages from tetraphenylene and pyrene‐based monomers is reported, which exhibits a high charge carrier mobility of 14 ± 1 cm2 V−1 s−1. ABSTRACT π‐Conjugation, π–π stacking, and long‐range order play a central role in determining charge transport efficiency in organic materials.

Silver eel population size and escapement in a Mediterranean lagoon: Bages-Sigean, France
Much concern has been raised about the decline in the European eel (Anguilla anguilla) population. European management plans for the recovery of the stock are now in preparation, the main objective being to increase the escapement of the potential ...

A general, versatile laser‐shock synthesis process is reported to produce various bimetallic CuNi, CuFe, CuCo, and medium‐entropy CuFeCoNi heterostructures, in which crystalline metal nanoparticles are anchored to amorphous hydroxide supports. During nitrate reduction reaction, the heterostructures undergo dynamic amorphous/crystalline reconstruction ...

The transcriptome of the invasive eel swimbladder nematode parasite Anguillicola crassus
: BACKGROUND: Anguillicola crassus is an economically and ecologically important parasitic nematode of eels. The native range of A. crassus is in East Asia, where it infects Anguilla japonica, the Japanese eel. A.

Exciton Radiative Lifetimes in Hexagonal Diamond Ge and SixGe1–x Alloys
Strong room‐temperature photoluminescence reported in hexagonal Ge conflicts with theory predicting a nearly dark band edge. First‐principles calculations of excitonic radiative lifetimes fill a key gap in this debate, showing that pristine hexagonal Ge remains intrinsically weakly emissive, while Si alloying only modestly shortens the lifetime and ...

Solid Ethanol as a Renewable, Low‐Toxicity, Electron‐Beam Direct Write, and Biomedical Material
3D ice lithography (3DIL) enables the fabrication of intricate submicrometer objects using ethanol as a renewable starting material. This study combines process optimization, structural and material analysis, and biomedical applications, from cell culture scaffolds to the patterning of neurostimulation electrodes, demonstrating performance in both in ...

Fishery-induced selection for slow somatic growth in European eel. [PDF]
Both theoretical and experimental studies have shown that fishing mortality can induce adaptive responses in body growth rates of fishes in the opposite direction of natural selection.
