Optical characterization of europium-doped indium hydroxide nanocubes obtained by Microwave-Assisted Hydrothermal method [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2014
Crystalline europium-doped indium hydroxide (In(OH)3:Eu) nanostructures were prepared by rapid and efficient Microwave-Assisted Hydrothermal (MAH) method. Nanostructures were obtained at low temperature.

A Facile Method for the Fabrication of Luminescent Eu3+-Doped SiO2 Nanowires

open access: yesGels, 2022
Europium trivalent ion (Eu3+)-doped silica nanowires were prepared, and the positioning of Eu3+ in the silicon dioxide nanowire matrix was researched. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction analysis (

Ab initio properties of the ground-state polar and paramagnetic europium-alkali-metal-atom and europium-alkaline-earth-metal-atom molecules

open access: yes, 2014
The properties of the electronic ground state of the polar and paramagnetic europium-$S$-state-atom molecules have been investigated. Ab initio techniques have been applied to compute the potential energy curves for the europium-alkali-metal-atom, Eu$X$ (

Persistent luminescence in Eu2+-doped compounds : a review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In 1996, Matsuzawa et al. reported on the extremely long-lasting afterglow of SrAl2O4:Eu2+ codoped with Dy3+ ions, which was more than 10-times brighter than the previously widely used ZnS:Cu,Co.

Enhanced Scintillation with Uncorrelated TL and OSL Signals in LiCaAlF6:Eu Nanoparticles Enables Unprecedented Multimodal Radiation Dosimetry

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates the coexistence of independent OSL and TL signals, demonstrating that the material preserves TL information even after complete OSL zeroing, enabling a dual dosimetric readout within the same material. Abstract The development of multimodal dosimeters capable of preserving independent luminescent signals is a ...

Europium-Doped Y2O3-Coated Diatomite Nanomaterials: Hydrothermal Synthesis, Characterization, Optical Study with Enhanced Photocatalytic Performance

open access: yesInorganics, 2021
Eu-doped Y2O3 coated diatomite nanostructures with variable Eu3+ contents were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal technique. The products were characterized by means of energy dispersive X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (EDX), scanning electron ...

Electronic structure and superconductivity of Europium

open access: yes, 2010
We have calculated the electronic structure of Eu for the bcc, hcp, and fcc crystal structures for volumes near equilibrium up to a calculated 90 GPa pressure using the augmented-plane wave method in the local-density approximation.

3D Microprinting of Structures with Lanthanide‐Based Fluorophores on Optical Fibers for Multiplexed Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Incorporating lanthanide‐based fluorophores into commercial resists for femtosecond direct laser writing enables a novel platform for multiplexed sensing. Porous, periodic, and solid luminescent microstructures fabricated directly on optical fiber tips are presented.

Unlocking Two‐Photon Chiral Signatures in DNA‐Stabilized Silver Nanoclusters: Two‐Photon Circular Dichroism and Circularly Polarized Luminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Chiroptical properties of DNA‐stabilized silver nanocluster (DNA)2[Ag16Cl2]8+ are presented in linear and nonlinear regime. These water‐soluble, NIR‐emitting nanoprobes demonstrate exceptionally high two‐photon circular dichroism and circularly polarized luminescence brightness.
