Plastid genome evolution in Amazonian açaí palm (Euterpe oleracea Mart.) and Atlantic forest açaí palm (Euterpe edulis Mart.)

Plant Molecular Biology, 2021
The plastomes of E. edulis and E. oleracea revealed several molecular markers useful for genetic studies in natural populations and indicate specific evolutionary features determined by vicariant speciation. Arecaceae is a large and diverse family occurring in tropical and subtropical ecosystems worldwide. E.

Sustainable Yield Management ofEuterpe edulisMartius (Palmae)

Journal of Sustainable Forestry, 2000
Abstract A sustainable yield management system is proposed for Euterpe edulis (‘Palmiteiro’) based on field studies. Since this Brazilian palm integrates the forest in the intermediate succession stages and grows naturally in shaded areas, its exploitation requires neither forest destruction nor forest gaps.

Somatic Embryogenesis in Tissue Cultures of Euterpe Edulis Mart. (Palmae)

1991
Somatic embryogenesis and further development of embryos to plantlets was studied using: young and mature embryos excised from seeds and inflorescences in 10 different stages until emergence. The influence of several factors such as mineral salts, nitrogen source, growth regulators, sucrose etc. were studied.
